Here's my go:

"Living as an undiagnosed autistic is like trying to assemble a puzzle without having the box to refer to. It can be done, but it will take much longer to reach a completed state, and the dogs will have eaten some of the pieces by then."

Good description of it. Dont have any quotes of my own. But some member does have a line in their signature that says it all pretty well:"The first thing to do when fighting an invisible monster is to throw paint on it."

Not mine but I was constantly reminded, what I'd give to be reminded just one more time.

just today I said:

trying to define my personality without the fact that I'm autistic is like trying to define a flower without the fact that it's a plant... It's not directly everything but it's the cause for existence.

"living as a diagnosed autistic will allow you to assemble the puzzle more easily, but force you to acknowledge the holes left by the pieces the dogs have eaten."

I have a set of post-it notes that I use to write down anything interesting that I think of, quotes included, and I have several, but here's one for now:

Improvement is the pursuit of the ambitious, Perfection is the pursuit of the insane.

(Also, the quote in my signature is one of my own creation!)

I'm sure they've been done before, but I've always enjoyed making a joke out of pre-existing sayings.

"My get up and go just got up and left"

or

"I'd ask if we're on the same page, but you appear to be reading an entirely different book"

:P
