Ok. Now honestly the things neurotypicals do and try to progress in the world seem so USELESS and like they're only hindering their own abilities. (No offense to all you NT humans) It's just social relations, I mean I know we don't get them very naturally, but NT's put sooo much effort and energy into social relations, and I just watch as they eventually crumble or can't live with themselves at home. It's nuts. I mean they decide that they depend on their social lives, and do anything to follow a crowd. As a result, they become susceptible to anything that could hinder them, and they become incredibly easy to control. We all know of crowd or mob mentalities, but I mean even in a small group. I've performed various experiments on my own where I join a group I'm (supposedly) a member of, and I'm able to push and shove the group's thought process in any direction I want just by working the group leader/heart and their interests.

Now I understand how people could easily fall susceptible to such influences but what I don't get is, WHY DON'T THEY KNOW THAT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING??? Do they want their individuality taken away??? Is this endeavor to become part of a hive only their hopeless way of gaining recognition and in turn gaining individuality?? It's all just one traffic jam. And the only real way of moving forward is getting out of it. I'm just confused about how most neurotypicals just don't get that.

It seems the best way to gain individuality is to generate your talents. I mean this sounds totally standard coming from an aspie, but I think I have evidence that constant work on talents, and minor work on social relations is actually the right way to go. Of course some social relations are great. I ended up ditching all my fake friends in school who wouldn't support my hobbies to pursue them relentlessly. Of course their were times when I kind of wanted people to interact with, but I knew that no one around me would understand or support me, so I pressed on in my hobbies and after a few years I met some AWESOME people through my interests. They were all interested in the same stuff I was, and sure enough, somehow, they too were aspies. Well almost half of them. It was really funny finding them, because through dropping a social life that benefited me nothing to pursue my dreams, I in turn found friends that I could both relate to and always wanted.

Anyway, think away! Gimme your thoughts! Elaborate!

I could probably post a massive wall of text on this. But I'll just keep it short.

It appears that the reasons why things turn out the way you see them is because the NTs live in a world that is tailored to lie to them. As a line from a FLA song refers to : "an Atrium of Lies".

NTs are constantly bombarded with imagery, jingoism and slogans to shape and control them. Even the plots in the sitcoms they watch do this (that's the real reason why the TV schedule is called "programming").

Lies are even heaped upon lies. You see NTs going through life in poor health, and not even thinking that it's strange. But those who do question, fall neatly in line behind all of the false reasons.

So for having an "aspergian mind" of things, not targeted by this machine of lies, it's more clearly noticeable.

Whether the social engineers knew of this ahead of time and didn't think there would be enough of that to matter, or if AS was completely off their radar and they didn't compare to it, I don't know.

If they did their homework (and they did - going back to their writings at the start of the 20th century) they would know that such a mind, a person of which spending his life being singled out and picked on for "being different", and then lonely (a result that can only happen in a Prussian style school system and hence reason to believe they covered their bases) is not likely to care about the world of sick, deceived and dumbed down NTs mindlessly heading up the slaughter chute.

Are they victims, or part of the problem? More like a moral dilemma. And how deep does the rabbit hole go?

NT's are as they are because they don't want to think. All they want is to FEEL! That's my conclusion and if you consider things like joint attention and the like, how could they be any different? They live their lives in an abstraction and a swamp of half--baked, mostly useless feelings that spin around their symbolic meaning, aka ego. They mirror each other all the time and there are even unspoken messages in the ways they're looking at someone.

That all their actions are based on irrational feelings is easy to see in countless ways, for instance overpopulation.

Don't you think you are overestimating NTs a bit? They're not all these social monsters that lie all the time.

I kinda agree. I mean they aren't monsters. Well most of them. But I DO agree on the idea that they only feel and not think, hence they can get themselves in sort of icky situations. I mean a lot of them think, but I was in sales once, (Yeah, I know.) and the ONE thing that was the base of our selling was that people buy off of emotion. I mean I know people like to lie to themselves off emotion to fit in and other reasons, but I don't think it's to feed ones ego. Aspies have ego's, I know that for sure, but an ego is just an amplification of ones potential to the point where they are driving it away. NT's have just as much potential as we do, no one is useless. They just tend to waste it in very different ways than we do. (I read some of the posts on here, and YEAH some of us are pouring our capabilities down the drain.)

This. Totally.

My Ohio friend/cousin-in-law is an example of this. She isn't autistic. More than likely, she's NT. But she is honest, and not a social monster--otherwise, she wouldn't be my friend.
