About two dozen people upset about President Trump’s electoral defeat gathered outside the home of Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and shouted a series of conspiracy theories through megaphones just as her family was wrapping up their Christmas decorations late Saturday night.
The protesters, some of whom were said to be armed, chanted and carried signs calling for an audit of the state’s election and baselessly accusing her of ignoring widespread voter fraud — parroting Trump’s false claims as he and many Republicans try to subvert the results of the election while sowing distrust in America’s democratic process.
Benson, a Democrat and Michigan’s chief election officer, said she and her 4-year-old son were about to sit down to watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” when “dozens of armed individuals” showed up outside her Detroit home “shouting obscenities and chanting into bullhorns in the dark of the night.”
In a video that was live-streamed from the scene, protesters were heard shouting, “Stop the steal” and “We want an audit.”
Local and state police showed up at the scene to ensure the protest remained peaceful, but no arrests were made.
Did not conservatives spend the last 4 years complaining about progressives confronting Republicans at dinner etc.

Alcoholic gun-nuts with megaphones -- just the kind of behavior that inspired me to leave Michigan and move to California. At least my California neighbors have only threatened to sue me.
Through blatantly false press releases, purely political legislative hearings, bogus legal claims, and so-called 'affidavits' that fail to allege any clear or cogent evidence of wrongdoing, those unhappy with the results of this election have perpetuated an unprecedented, dangerous, egregious campaign to erode the public's confidence in the results of one of the most secure, accessible and transparent elections in our state's history,
Challenge to our votes based upon groundless conspiracy theories has been rejected in court. Every judge who has reviewed these claims brought by Donald Trump and his allies has found them for what they are -- frivolous lawsuits intended to undermine faith in our democracy. It’s time for the purveyors of these dangerous lies to be sanctioned by the courts.
And the lawsuits filed to overturn Mr. Trump's defeat seem to be less about achieving the relief Plaintiffs seek -- as much of that relief is beyond the power of any Court - and more about the impact of their allegations on the voters' faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government. Trump's plaintiffs have asked the courts to ignore the orderly statutory scheme established to challenge elections and to ignore the will of millions of voters. This the courts cannot, and will not, do.
Clearly, the Voters have spoken.

Oh drats, I was so looking forward to a 4 page post linked to some Michigan legal proceedings from 1884 outlining why MAGA thugs are permitted to scream at "antifa sympathisers" in the democrat party on megaphones...
