I don't know what this "market economics" thing is some of you are mentioning. A US thing probably, unless you mean marketing and economics.

I studied economics at a top university. My cohort did the following after:

Academia
Investment banking
Management consultancy (BCG, Bain, McKinsey)
Professional economist - government civil service or economic regulator or international organisation like the IMF
Professional economist - economics consultancy
Industry - finance dept or strategy dept

All are very good and interesting jobs. No-one went into sales.

Well you can make a good living selling insurance but I debated studying economics in college I think be a economics professor would of been nice I have a friend who studied economics and now he is a banker I am a sociology major and now I sell oil and gas leases which is why I studied sociology I also buy oil leases


market economics = sales OR academia

Well I meant like laissez fair capitalism when said market economics

Architecture is not even on those lists. That feeling you get when the rest of the world writes you off as a niche.

At least we get to top lists such as https://blog.prepscholar.com/hardest-college-majors

I'm sure Fnord is going to accuse us of merely being engineers who can't do math. :wink:

Some of the most creative and open minded people I met on campus were design, fine arts and architecture students.
