Jared Kushner aspires to actual immortality. I couldn't make this up!

I've seen science articles about immortality being achieved by 2050.

Hopefully Kushner will have been planted six feet under by that time.

That's a lot of hatred towards someone you don't even know.

It's actually more of dark humor on my part. As a matter of fact, I'll probably be long dead myself, before 2050.
But what sort of immortality is being promised here? Do you keep getting old and more enfeebled? If so, I think I'd prefer the sweet release of death to eternity as a shriveled vegetable. If it's a matter of staying young forever, then who is this going to be available for? Everyone, or just the elite rich? And how about overpopulation, which is more than a problem now? The planet can hardly sustain much more of our virus like species. Immortality can only make that worse. Or who knows, maybe it'll be something like in the Lovecraft movie, Re-Animator, where people are turned into murderous zombies when brought back from death.

I don't know what the factors are. I just know scientists have been talking about stopping the process of aging and reverse aging. I'm not interested in it for myself. Even though I'm in good health and happy, I'm already getting tired of life. "Life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone." - John Mellencamp.

I'm pretty sure this immortality precludes massive trauma, so if he's really that big of deal you still have options.

So how he high are the chances that he might be running as a candidate for the American Transhumanist party?
