A lot of these channels find mentally ill people online, egg them on pretending to be preteens, then schedule a meeting irl and boast about catching a pedo.
They are bullies. Real rapists are crafty, violent, and dangerous and wouldn't get caught like that. Real rapist would run away, or take a knife and stab a Joe McYoutuber once he realized what's going on rather than let the chad bro roast him on camera.

How is it possible to find mentally ill people online if you don't know they are mentally ill. No one should be talking sexual to a minor, period. No one should try and meet up with a minor, period. Also these decoys don't bring up sexual stuff, they do.

Easy, just go on forums such as this one. There are also spaces for other mental disorders. Also, various communities, such as fetish-based ones, cult ones, conspiracy theories hubs etc. "naturally" tend to attract certain individuals. Then all is left is observing and leaving baits.
